1.1 Current Terms & Conditions for the sale, refund theatre tickets (of e-tickets) and transfer of personalized tickets (further referred as Terms) are governed by and construed in accordance with Russian Federation Law that regulates federal state budget institutions of culture, and complied with Russian Federation Law dated 9 October 1992 №3612-1 Fundamental Principles of Russian Federation Legislation on Culture and other statutory law.
1.2 These Terms include general policy on theatre ticket sale and regulate relations between Theatre and the Customer. Theatre reserves the right to make changes to current Terms at any period of time without prior notice to the Customer. Edition of the Terms, approved by Decree of Theatre management office, and is published online on the Theatre official website and available at the ticket offices, (further referred as Current Terms) is treated as foreground in comparison to the previous editions. In the event of dispute between Customer and Theatre, the latest edition that was available at the period of when the ticket was purchased will be applied, with a condition that Customer will be able to point out which edition was available at the moment. Otherwise, Current Edition will be applied.
1.3 Ticket is an agreement for a service provided in the fields of culture; by purchasing it, Customer is deemed to accept Terms and to take responsibility to comply with general policy of ticket sale/purchase and conditions set by attending the event. Meanwhile, Theatre is obliged to provide the service in the form of showing performance on the date and time stated on the ticket.
1.4 Tickets are generated by the theatre automatic informational system in accordance with terms presented to ticket information governed by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. Ticket, when purchased at the ticket office, is printed out by the cashier; Ticket that was booked online, should be printed by Customer on A4 plain paper.
1.5 In case a personalized ticket was booked online via Theatre website, Account User fills in Guest’s information in the User Account personally, and after payment is processed, prints out e-ticket on A4 plain paper. User is responsible to provide accurate data that is required to purchase a personalized ticket for Guest and agrees to have his/her personal data collected and stored within the Theatre automatic system.
1.6 Сhildren who reached six years old and above are admitted to the theatre. Theatre advises to pay attention to age restrictions upon ticket purchase (information is indicated on the posters and tickets), which are in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law dated 29 December 2010 N 436-FZ “On Protecting Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development”.
1.7 Admission control will be conducted by validating tickets which are printed on typographic form and e-tickets which are printed by visitor on A4 plain paper personally via automatic access control system (AACS). Entrance is carried out through gates number indicated on the ticket (if there is no gate number indicated on the ticket, admission entry is through the main entrance).
1.8 Verification of Guest’s documents and proof of identification is conducted upon arrival in order to validate the right for possession of e-ticket, personalized ticket or ticket acquired for special programs. Theater reserves the right to refuse the entry in case if information and name on the ticket does not correspond with information on proof of identification, and no refunds will be payable.
1.9 Ticket should include mandatory details and be in accordance with the form approved by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. Tickets that are purchased by the mean that violate Current Terms and are not in line with the established requirements by the Ministry of Culture: elements on the tickets do not comply with design approved by the Theatre, have corrections or are counterfeit tickets are invalid, and Theatre reserves the right to refuse the entrance with no refund. Theatre accepts no responsibility for the validity of Ticket purchased from unauthorized agents or from locations that are not an official distribution points. Tickets that are purchased by the mean that violate Russian Federation Law dated 9 October 1992 №3612-1 Fundamental Principles of Russian Federation Legislation on Culture cannot be exchanged or refunded.
2.1 Tickets at the box office can be purchased with cash and credit/debit cards, in Russian Rubles.
2.2 Tickets sale is generally conducted 2 months prior to the event (in single cases the given period can be changed based on the discretion of Theatre administration and by posting further relevant information on the Theatre website).
2.3 Tickets presale is conducted on a first-come first-served basis at the Theatre box office and online in accordance with timetable published on website and available at the box office. Schedule will show start date and time of ticket sale for each event, and will indicate sales method and conditions.
3.1 In order to book an online ticket, it is needed to register and create a personal account on the official website of the Bolshoi Theatre under Your Visit section (https://bolshoi.ru/en/visit/). Email address is usually used as login. It is important to follow the procedure of filling in personal information. For the purpose of further convenient use of personal account, it is offered to indicate surname, first name, email address and phone number.
3.2 Login and password are required to enter personal account which are assigned to the user upon registration. To recover a lost password, the user can click the ‘Restore Password’ button. Link will be available for a limited period of time, and it will be sent to the user’s email which was indicated upon registration in order to make amendments.
3.3 Upon registration, User presses corresponding button and agrees to follow Theatre terms for ticket sale and conditions for visiting Theatre; he/she chooses option to receive newsletters, notifications and messages of advertising purposes, agrees to providing personal data indicated upon registration ( according to clause 3.1 of the Current Terms) which are needed in order to book tickets online. User consents to the processing of personal data for the purpose of given above including (without limitation) collection, optimization, accumulation, storage, clarification (update or change), usage, distribution (including to the third parties), data sanitization, blocking, annihilation – in accordance with Federal Law of Russian Federation dated 27 July 2006 № 152 – FZ On Personal Data.
3.4 User takes full responsibility for all actions carried by his/her name on the website, and is obliged to immediately notify Theatre about unauthorized access from his/her page.
3.5 Theatre automatic system offers User to choose performance for a specific date and time via personal account. In case of tickets availability for sale, ‘Buy Ticket’ button is highlighted opposite the performance name. Chosen seats are displayed in a Shopping Basket for 20 minutes - timeframe which allows completing booking. It is important to note the permitted number of tickets which can be booked per one order based on terms. Separate order should be created in case if additional order is needed. For personalized tickets, Guest’s personal information should be indicated.
3.6 Upon booking completion it is required to make payment by bank card. Payment should be made by the bank card holder.
3.7 Online payment is processed through payment systems such as VISA International, MasterCard WorldWide, MIR. User will be directed to a payment gateway to enter bank details. Connection to the payment getaway and data transfer is carried out in a secure mode using SSL encryption protocol.
3.8 In case a servicing bank supports technology of secured internet-payment, special password may be required. More information on how to acquire this password should be clarified with the servicing bank issuer. Website supports 256-bit encryption. Privacy of personal data information is guaranteed by the bank. Provided information will not be transferred to the third party unless it is the cases governed by The Law of Russian Federation. Payment transactions are strictly carried in accordance with requirements of payment systems Visa Int. and MasterCard Europe Sprl, MIR.
3.9 Upon booking completion and confirmation, it is required to go back to the Theatre website by pressing ‘Return to the Site’ button.
3.10 In case of successful authorization and once payment is processed, e-ticket order information will be displayed in the user‘s personal account. User needs to enter his/her personal account and personally print e-ticket out on A4 plain paper.
3.11.1 Tickets on electronic devices are not valid to gain the admission to the auditorium. Printed e-ticket should be presented to the controller upon the entrance to the Theatre.
3.11.2 E-ticket, printed on A4 plain paper, is valid for one person, does not require to be exchanged to a regular ticket and gives Guest access to the event via auto control system during indicated on the ticket date and time.
3.11.3 Personalized ticket, printed on A4 plain paper, is considered valid if it includes mandatory details and is in accordance with the form approved by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. Identification document should be presented alongside, and personal details should match information on the ticket.
3.12.1 In case if tickets sale is not announced yet, there will be ‘Soon on Sale’ sign opposite the name of performance. It means that sale is not open yet and the start date of the sale can be checked in the presale timetable in Your Visit section online. ‘Sold Out’ means tickets are either sold out already, or will not be available for sale at all. Empty field opposite performance name means that tickets sale is not available. Performances with specific terms of implementation or special programs are marked with specific description on the button ‘Details’.
3.12.2 Unpaid tickets will be saved in the shopping basket no more than 20 minutes. It will be automatically voided after. Payment will be unblocked and will be returned back to the owner within 3 days.
3.12.3 One order can contain no more than 4 (four) tickets. Additional order can be created if needed. System will not allow creating new order if there is pending order in the shopping basket.
3.12.4 If two users simultaneously are in process of purchasing the same ticket, order is completed by the one who was first to select seats and proceed with the payment. Unpaid order is automatically voided.
3.13.1 Theatre ensures to use information received from User only for the purpose of website proper functioning and carrying out obligations to the Customer.
3.13.2 Theatre has the right for unilateral decision to limit User’s access in case if the latter fails to comply with the Current Terms.
3.13.3 Theatre has the right to discontinue website work without prior notice to User and is not responsible for temporary or permanent deactivation due to reasons that are beyond Theatre control.
3.13.4 Theatre does not take responsibility for the direct or indirect loss and damage occurred due to use or failure of website use or unauthorized access that are beyond Theatre control.
3.13.5 Theatre liability to the Customer is restricted by the cost of purchased tickets; disputes between Theatre and Customer should be resolved through negotiations. Failure to resolve disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Russian Federation.
4.1 A category of Russian citizens that are granted with exceptional right to purchase tickets without queuing based on legislation of Russian Federation is defined.
4.1.1 Heroes of USSR, Heroes of Russian Federation, full holders of the Order of the Glory.
4.1.2 Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of Labor of Russian Federation, full holders of the Order of the Labor Glory.
4.1.3 Veterans of Great Patriotic War, combat veterans, invalids of Great Patriotic War, combat invalids, citizens of besieged Leningrad, previously underage prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of detention of fascists and their allies during the Second World War.
4.2 In accordance with the Law of Russian Federation N4301-1 from 15 January 1993 About the Status of Heroes of Soviet Union, the Russian Federation, and full holders of the order of Glory and of the Law of Russian Federation № 5- FZ from 12 January 1995 About Veterans Heroes of Soviet Union, veterans and invalids or equated to veterans and invalids of Great Patriotic War, previously underage prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of detention, possess exceptional right to purchase tickets without queuing stated in clause 4.1 of the Current Terms.
4.3 Citizens that fit categories mentioned above have the right to purchase 2 (two) tickets in one hand without queuing by presenting ID that proves affiliation with these categories. ID details are filled in the special printed form.
4.4 Heroes of USSR, Heroes of Russian Federation, full holders of the Order of the Glory, invalids, veterans of Great Patriotic War and equated to veterans and invalids of Great Patriotic War previously underage prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of detention who wants to attend performance in person have the right to purchase ticket at reduced price of 50% of the price ticket and one full price ticket for accompanying person for a specifically assigned seats: 2 (two) seats at New Stage and 2 (two) seats for accompanying people , 4 (four) seats at Historical Stage and 4 (four) seats for accompanying people. Citizens that fit any of mentioned above categories need to present ID and documents that proves affiliation with any of these categories. Sale of such tickets is applicable all performances listed in the Bolshoi Theatre repertoire at New and Historical Stages in the following order (exceptions are special performances): preliminary orders start 7 (seven) days prior to event by phone (+7 (495) 455 5555), sale of pre booked tickets start 5 (five) calendar days prior to the event. Tickets for special events should contain details that will help to identify the Guest. 2 (two) days prior to the event tickets that are not sold out go into official sale.
5.1 The Bolshoi for Young program seeks to create additional impulse for youth audience, and provide accessibility and a favorable environment to visit the Theatre.
5.1.1 Tickets for these programs are meant for Russian citizens, within age limit 16-25 at the moment of ticket purchase, and who want to visit the Theatre in person.
5.1.2 Tickets for these programs are sold prior to announced performances, or, at discretion of Theatre administration, to specifically assigned seats of the current repertoire. Information on these performances as well as Term & Conditions of sale and purchase is published in advance on the Theatre website in Your Visit section and placed at the box office.
5.2 The Bolshoi for Young gives full time students of Russian institutions the right to purchase one ticket in the amount of 100 (one hundred) RUBLES for one student upon presenting student ID.
5.2.1 This program is only applicable for performances at Historical and New Stages of The Bolshoi Theatre (exceptions are special performances), and not applicable for performances at Beethoven Hall, Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Stage and performances organized by other parties at the Bolshoi Theatre.
5.2.2 Up to 30 (thirty) tickets are allocated for each performance at New Stage, 84 (eighty- four) for Historical Stage (standing room of a numbered row of 4th tier, no seats are available). Tickets sale for matinee starts at 10:00 in the morning, daytime –at 12:00 in the afternoon, evening at 16:00 (tickets sale time can be changed at discretion of theatre administration, and will be notified separately).
5.2.3 Ticket is printed and marked that it was purchased with Student ID. At the gate control ticket owner should present Student ID and document that validates identity.
5.3 Special program for tickets sale of the cost category of 100 and 200 RUBLES
5.3.1 Tickets sale for this program is carried out by organizations, which provide public social support to retired, invalids of all categories, those who have social benefits and have any valid form of proof, artists occupied in performance and theatre employees.
5.3.2 Organizations that provide support for socially unprotected and low-income group of citizens need to forward request to the Theatre – application on official forms to be signed by the Head of organization with indication of juridical and financial details, person in charge, number of tickets and stated month when performance tickets are requested.
5.3.3 Tickets for this program are printed on special forms, where the name of social organization is indicated with a mark that ticket was purchased with Social ID.
5.3.4 Person in charge, appointed by the Head of Theatre Sales Department, distributes tickets based on the total amount of applications for the current month. Depending on the amount of requests, application can be approved either fully, partially, or denied or transferred to another month.
5.4 Special program for tickets of low cost category.
5.4.1 Current program is aimed to provide ticket accessibility to the end user - Guest who wants to attend a performance in person. It is applicable for all performances at Historic and New Stages within the price category of 6,7,8 zones of Historic Stage and 5,6 zones of New Stage and for the seats of the central part of stalls in the event when 20 and less tickets left unsold.
5.4.2 Tickets for this program are printed and should indicate Guest’s personal information. It is needed to present guest’s document of identity verification to the cashier. In case if the ticket is booked online, user should indicate Guest’s personal information. Guest’s admission for special events is allowed upon presenting his/her ID at the control gate of the Theatre. Full name and a number should match information on the ticket.
5.4.3 Theatre reserves the right to change the order and term of tickets sale for this program without prior notice to guests.
5.5 Administration can make the decision to apply special Terms & Conditions for tickets sale to the events with a higher demand. Relevant information is displayed on the website and at the Theatre box office prior to events and indicates special terms for further booking.
6.1 Starting from 1 September 2019, Theatre distributes tickets independently without use of the third parties. Tickets sale occurs at the Theatre box offices or through Theatre website.
6.2 Theatre holds the right to sign agreement with the third parties (authorized agents) to delegate distribution rights to organizations at any time. List of organizations that are bonded with the Theatre by contract is published on the website in the section Your Visit.
6.3 In the presence of agreement between third parties and the Theatre, tickets sale by the third parties is carried out based on the agreement between third parties and the Theatre. Tickets indicate the price set by the theatre. Distributors have the right to establish their own service fees which should be less than 10% of the ticket cost according to the Law of Russian Federation from 9 October 1992 № 3612-1 Fundamental Principles of Russian Federation Legislation on Culture and other statutory law.
7.1 Current Terms for ticket refund (e-tickets) and transfer personalized tickets (e-personalized tickets) to another person are based on Government Decree of Russian Federation dated 18 September 2020 №1491 “On the adoption of refund Terms & Conditions for season tickets and tour vouchers, personalized tickets, personalized tour vouchers and personalized season tickets transfer to other people in case of guest’s rejection to attend the event” ( further referred as refund policy). Refund application form (e-ticket) including personalized ticket as well as transfer of the personalized ticket application to another person should be approved by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation.
7.2 Tickets refund (e-ticket) is carried out in case if the event is cancelled, changed or rescheduled. It is also applicable in case of rejection of attending performance initiated by customer due to illness or death of a close relative according to the set procedure and depends on the reason for refund.
7.3 Individual, who is acting with the purpose which is not related to business activities, possessing rights to attend performance and who paid for the ticket (e-ticket) and/or is indicated on a personalized ticket, possess the right to claim refund (e-ticket) and transfer it to another person in case of his/her rejection to attend the event.
7.4 Ticket refund application form can be submitted to the Theatre box office №5 located in the administrative building during working hours (Monday – Friday), 11am – 6 pm. It can also be sent by post. It should contain an inventory of attachments and delivery notification. Application registration is carried on the day of delivery. Note that documents were received is done upon customer’s request. Application is reviewed no more than 10 days since the day when all necessary documents and documents were submitted based on the set policy.
7.5 Customer should present ID upon submitting a refund application form. In case if an application form is submitted by a customer's representative, a copy of power of attorney or document that confirms legal representation should be attached as well. In case if application form is sent by post, authorized copy of customer’s identity verification document should be attached.
7.6 Unused original ticket should be attached to the refund application form. Both printed copy of e-ticket and copy of payment cheque must be attached. Application form should contain information on the channel of how customer should be notified of the refund outcome.
7.7 Ticket should be valid and comply with terms and requirements expected from ticket information. It is approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation and set by the Theatre tickets sale Terms & Conditions.
7.8 After reviewing refund application form, Theatre administration makes the decision either in favor of refund for unused ticket (e-ticket), including personalized ticket, or decline in case customer fails to fulfill conditions set by the Current Terms. Customer (or his/her representative) will be further notified of the outcome.
7.9 Theatre designated person will notify customer (or his/representative) on rejection for refund and will list reasons which constituted non-compliance no later than 5 days after the decision was made via the following channels: either by sending notification to email address, or by a phone call indicated in the refund application form.
7.10 Final positive outcome on refund will be informed to the customer no later than 3 days after the decision was made via the following channels: by sending notification to email address, either by a phone call. Customer should indicate a contact method in the refund application form.
7.11 Customer will be eligible to receive refund no later than 10 days after the refund outcome was announced, via payment method which was used when the ticket was purchased.
7.12 Customer will be refunded face value indicated on the ticket. Any associated booking fees authorized third parties are excluded and non-refundable.
7.13 In case if the ticket was purchased at the box office with cashless method of payment, customer should present bank card that was used at the time of purchase and payment cheque. Refund for the tickets which were purchased via bank card both at the box offices and on the Theatre website, will be initiated to the bank card that was used at the time of purchase. Credit will be received within a certain amount of days, depending on the card issuer’s policies.
7.14 Refund for the tickets that were purchased at box offices of authorized third parties will be issued at the Theatre box office if not stated otherwise in the agreement. Refund application forms for the tickets that were purchased online from the authorized third parties are non-refundable and are not accepted for reviewing. In this case, Customer should contact the official distributor through their website where the ticket was purchased and forward them a refund application form.
7.15 Theatre administration reserves the right to change and add the order and refund period accordingly to the current situation within limitations which do not contradict Russian legislation. Information will be posted on information carriers both at the box office and the Theatre website in advance.
7.16 Special refund terms in case of cancellation, change or rescheduling.
7.16.1 Information on the event cancellation, change or rescheduling and refund policy can be found on the website on Your Visit section as well as on information stand at the Theatre box offices. A cast change does not constitute grounds for ticket refund. At Theatre’s discretion, cast members can be changed without prior notice.
7.16.2 Ticket refund application form should be submitted within the following time frame, if not stated otherwise by Theatre administration:
- If performance is changed – from the day of announcement about the change and up to the start date of the event;
- If performance is cancelled – from the day of announcement of cancellation and up to the start date of the event, it is also applicable within next 10 calendar days after the indicated date;
- If performance is rescheduled – from the day of its announcement and up to the initially set date of the event.
7.16.3 Ticket refund application forms which are submitted later than indicated time frame are not accepted for consideration and will be non-refundable.
7.17 Special refund terms in case of rejection to attend performance due to reasons that are not related to the guest's illness or death of a family member or close relative.
7.17.1 In case if Customer’s reason for non-attending the event is not related to the guest's illness or death of a family member or close relative in accordance with Family Code of The Russian Federation), refund procedure will be based on the clause 7.1 - 7.15 of Current Terms. Customer in this case has the right to submit a refund application form (e-ticket), including personalized ticket with given consent to private data processing (further referred as refund application form). Person who is indicated in personalized ticket (or electronic personalized ticked) is eligible to submit refund application form.
7.17.2 Refund application form should be submitted no later than 3 days before the start of the event. If a refund application form is submitted less than 3 days, there will be no refunds. One applicant can only refund no more than 2 tickets per performance.
7.17.3 Refund can be refused in the following cases:
- Format and details do not match the requirements approved by designated executive authority, or some of the format elements do not match the requirements or the ticket has corrections on it; or it is counterfeit;
- Customer did not present documents specified in the clause 7 of Current Terms;
- Ticket is sold for special program;
- In case of systematic claim for refund (more than 2 times a month);
- Customer did not comply with the timeframe of ticket refund policy, based on the clause 52.1 of Russian Federation Law dated 9 October 1992 №3612-1 Fundamental Principles of Russian Federation Legislation on Culture.
7.17.4 Depending on the period of when the application form was submitted, Customer will be eligible to receive the following amount (in percentage) within 10 days from when refund outcome was announced and via method which was used when the ticket was purchased:
- No later than 10 days before the event start date – 100% of ticket face value price;
- No later than 5 days before the event start date – 50% of ticket face value price;
- No later than 3 days before the event start date – 30% of ticket face value price.
7.18 Special refund terms (e-tickets), including personalized ticket in case of customer’s rejection of attending an event due to guest’s illness which can be documentally validated.
7.18.1 In cases if customer is unable to attend the event due to his/her illness, he/she is eligible to apply for refund for illness reasons following the order and terms based on the clause 7.1-7.15 of Current Terms before the date of that performance.
7.18.2 The following documents should be presented together with application form in case of Customer’s illness:
a. Unused original ticket for the event which contains information of e-ticket as well as copy of e-cheque;
b. Medical certificate or a specific form for incapacity to work issued by a medical organization in accordance with legislation of Russian Federation and confirming the fact of Customer’s illness which prevents him/her from attending the event.
7.18.3 In case if Customer is unable to present relevant documents which are proof of illness within indicated period, Customer should present them within 14 days after the date of the event with a condition that refund application form and other documents which are required by this clause were provided on time.
7.18.4 Processing period of the refund related to illness application form and attached documents is 10 (ten) working days. In certain cases it can be extended to 30 days. Processing starts from the day when documents were submitted in full.
7.18.5 In case if Customer is unable to attend the event due to reasons, documentally proven, such as Customer’s illness, Customer is eligible to return ticket (e-ticket), including personalized ticket with following conditions:
a. Ticket (e-ticket), including personalized ticket is not invalid in accordance with the second part of the clause 52.1 of Russian Federation Law dated 9 October 1992 №3612-1 Fundamental Principles of Russian Federation Legislation on Culture;
b. Refund application form and attached documents are provided, either are sent by registered post with inventory of attachments and delivery notification no later than the event day;
c. documents listed in clause 7.18.2 of the Current Terms are provided within indicated timeframe;
d. Refund application form due to illness and attached documents are submitted in accordance to clauses of the Current Terms;
e. Submitted documents reflect accurate information;
f. Ticket (e-ticket), including personalized ticket, was purchased before Customer’s illness which prevents him/her from attending the event.
7.19 Special refund terms (e-ticket) in case of customer’s rejection of attending an event due to the death of a family member or close relative.
7.19.1 In case if Customer is unable to attend the event due to death of family member or close relative, Customer is eligible to submit refund application form due to death of the relative in accordance with Family Code of Russian Federation and following terms based on clauses 7.1 - 7.15 of the Current Terms. This refund application form can also be forwarded to email@example.com.
7.19.2 The following documents should be attached to refund application form due to death of the relative:
a. Unused original ticket for the event which contains mandatory information of e-ticket as well as copy of e-cheque;
b. A copy of registered medical certificate of death of family member or close relative a copy of death certificate issued by civil registration department;
c. Documents that show the degree of kinship, if the person was a family member of the Customer (spouse, father, mother, son or daughter (adaptive parent or adopted child), either a close relative (grandfather, grandmother, grandson (granddaughter), siblings or half-siblings).
7.19.3 In case if Customer is unable to present documents listed above within indicated period, Customer should present them within 14 days since the date of the event with a condition that refund application form and other documents which are mentioned in this were provided on time.
7.19.4 In case if Customer submits refund application form due to death of the relative in e-form, Customer should present original application form due to death of the relative and documents mentioned above no later than within 14 days after the start day of the event.
7.19.5 Processing period of the refund application form is 10 (ten) working days. In certain cases, it can be extended to 20 days. Processing starts from the day when documents mentioned above were submitted in full.
7.19.6 In case if Customer is unable to attend the event due to reasons, documentally proven, such as death of family member or close relative, Customer is eligible to return ticket (e-ticket), including personalized ticket with following conditions:
a. Ticket (e-ticket), including personalized ticket is not invalid in accordance with the second part of the clause 52.1 of Russian Federation Law dated 9 October 1992 №3612-1 Fundamental Principles of Russian Federation Legislation on Culture;
b. Refund application form and attached documents are provided no later than the event day;
c. Documents listed are provided within time frame indicated in the Current Terms;
d. Refund application form due to death of close relative and attached documents are submitted in accordance to clauses of the Current Terms;
e. Submitted documents reflect accurate information;
f. Death of a family member or close relative occurred no earlier than 14 days of the event day and no later than the day of the event.
g. Death of a family member or close relative occurred after the day when the ticket was purchased (e-ticket) including personalized ticket.
7.20 Procedure to transfer personalized tickets.
7.20.1 Customer who purchased personalized ticket is eligible to apply for ticket transfer to another person no later than 10 days before performance.
7.20.2 Application for ticket transfer should be submitted by a Customer (or his/her representative). Information should be indicated on the ticket and can be submitted during weekdays, 11 am – 6 pm (lunch break 2 pm – 3 pm) at the box office №5 at the Theatre administrative building.
7.20.3 Customer’s ID should be presented upon submission of a transfer application form as well as ID of the person to whom a personalized ticket is transferred to.
7.20.4 Customer’s representative should present ID and power of attorney upon submission of transfer application form.
7.20.5 Consent for personal data processing of the person to whom a personalized ticket is transferred to, should be attached to the transfer application form.
7.20.6 Personalized ticket which was purchased under special programs and special offers, and entails special purchasing terms, including reduced pricing (for category of citizens entitled to benefits), can be transferred to a person who is also entitled to indicated benefits. Transfer application should attach documents which show evidence of the benefits of the visitor. This information is indicated on a personalized ticket, and person to whom the ticket is transferred to.
7.20.7 Transfer of personalized ticket is carried out on the same day when transfer application is submitted under the condition that customer complies with Current Terms.
8.1 Guest admissions and staff assistance start no earlier than 1 (one) hour prior to the event. Admission is allowed after the first bell, and is not permitted after the third bell.
8.2 Guest should be properly dressed according to the dress code. Wearing shorts, t-shirts, slippers is not allowed. It is not welcomed to enter in outside clothes, carrying drinks, food, flowers or be under the influence of alcohol.
8.3 If cloak-room ticket or personal belongings are lost from the cloak-room, Guest should seek for staff or Theatre Manager’s assistance.
8.4 Mobile phones or other electronic devices must be switched off or silenced. For security and copyright protection, any types of audio, photo or video recordings of the performances and its fragments are prohibited without special permission from Theatre management.
8.5 Customer consents to abide by public order within Theatre premises. Customer will compensate any of the Theatre property damage in accordance with legislation of Russian Federation.
8.6 For audience safety reasons it is prohibited to enter auditorium with the following objects: any dangerous weapon, firearms, ammunition, projectiles or explosives in solid, gas or liquid form, fireworks, any highly flammable incendiary device or object, any chemical that can be considered hazardous, knives, any sharp or pointed metal objects, lasers or similar potentially disruptive light emitting, narcotics or other mind-altering substances, alcohol, luggage, big packages or bags, animals; it is prohibited to wear contaminated clothes or carry items that contaminate others.
8.7 It is prohibited to go beyond designated areas, open windows, sit or stand in the passage or on the staircases, enter premises that are not allowed for entrance, do writings or post advertisements, banners or any other informative collaterals; demonstrate symbolic that are aimed for racist, social, national or religious incitement of hatred.
8.8 Flowers for artists should be passed to the Theatre personnel with its further delivery to artists who they are meant for.
8.9 In accordance with Federal Law dated 23 February 2013 № 15-FZ on Health Protection from Exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke and the Consequences of Tobacco Consumption, smoking is prohibited on Theatre premises.
8.10 Wheelchair users with a ticket should notify about their visit 7 (seven) calendar days prior the event by phone (+7(495) 455 5555) in order to make special arrangements for wheelchair at specially assigned locations – 6 (six) at Historical Stage, 2 (two) at New Stage. Right before the event, it is necessary to find Theatre administrator (main entrance № 10 of Historical Stage or main entrance of New Stage) to request to accompany him/her to the right seat.
9.1.1 E-ticket for Historic Stage Guided Tour can only be purchased on the official website of the Bolshoi Theatre.
9.1.2 The e-ticket is valid only for one person, for the event, date and time printed on it. Ticket is protected by a QR-code, contains information about the payer and the visitor (name, ID / birth certificate of child).
9.1.3 Children from the age of 10 are allowed on a tour with a ticket and accompanied by adults.
9.1.4 Access to the tour is subject to the ticket undergoing a validity check of the ID indicated in the ticket, with the use of electronic access control system.
9.1.5 Ticket that does not contain mandatory information or contains inaccurate information, as well as partially or incorrectly printed, damaged or illegible ticket will not be valid and will release the Theatre from any obligations under it; access to the event will be refused with no reimbursement.
9.1.6 More information about Guided Tours can be found on the official website of the Theatre under “Plan Your Visit” (https://bolshoi.ru/en/visit).
9.1.7 Pre-sale of tickets for the Guided Tours opens on the official website 7 days before the date of the event from 11:00 (Moscow time). Tours are available on Thursdays.
9.1.8 Ticket price is 1500 rub for adult visitors (standard ticket) and 500 rubles (preferential ticket) for visitors – residents of Russia of retirement age, pupils, day students of the Russian universities.
9.1.9 Tour lasts one hour 30 minutes, access via the Main Entrance (Entrance №12) of the Historic Stage.
9.1.10 Time of the sessions, frequency of visits, number of visitors are determined by the administration of the Theatre; changes can be made by the decision of the Management of the Theatre; changes in the schedule are announced on the official website of the Theatre in advance.
9.2.1 The purchase of an E-ticket for the Guided Tour is available for registered users on the official website of the Bolshoi theatre.
9.2.2 To purchase an E-ticket, the buyer must sign in to his / her personal account on the website of the Theatre (https://ticket.bolshoi.ru/) under his / her login and password or re-register (link).
9.2.3 The automated system offers the user to select the required number of tickets for a certain date and time, to add them to basket and to pay the order by a valid credit card.
9.2.4 The names and ID data of visitors are specified in tickets, and can not be changed after payment.
9.2.5 The user is fully responsible for all activities that occur under the use of his / her personal account. The user is obliged to immediately notify the Theatre about incidents of unauthorized use in any way possible.
9.2.6 If the payment is accepted, the e-tickets appear in the buyer’s personal account. Payment confirmation will be sent to the specified e-mail address. The tickets must be printed on A4 paper.
9.2.7 Please note that unpaid tickets can stay in order basket for no more than 20 min, after which they are automatically canceled. There can be no more than 2 (two) tickets in one order.
9.3.1 In case of cancellation, replacement or postponement of a tour the Buyer may return the purchased tickets.
9.3.2 Tickets purchased for the postponed tour are valid for the newly announced session, but the Buyer has the right to return the ticket and demand the return of the money.
9.3.3 In case the tour is cancelled or postponed, the ticket return can only be done prior to the scheduled date and time of that tour.
9.3.4 Tickets are reimbursed according to their face value. Refunds for the tickets purchased with credit cards shall be made to the same card to which the purchase was made, within the terms and according to the established rules of the issuing bank.
