Vladimir Nosik

A graduate of The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), workshop of B. Babochkin, in 1970 Vladimir Nosik joined the ensemble of the Actor’s Theatre-studio where he served for 24 years. Among the production where he performed were The Stupid Lady by Lope de Vega, The Miracle of St. Anthony by Maurice Maeterlinck, The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare, In Search For the Dead Souls based on Nikolai Gogol’s novel, Director by Yuri Nagibin, Tanya by Alexei Arbuzov, Shadow by Evgeny Schwartz.

Since 1995 Vladimir Nosik has been working in the Maly State Academic Theatre of Russia, where he performed over 40 roles.

Vladimir Nosik is one of the most popular and beloved movie stars, who has appeared in over 160 movies and television shows. He made his screen debut, when he was a student and worked with some of the most prominent Soviet directors – Yuliy Rayzman, Larisa Shepitko, Yakov Segel, Alexander Zarkhi, Eldar Ryazanov, Svetlana Druzhinina, Evgeny Matveev, Yury Chulyukin, Pavel Arsenov, Leonid Gaidai, Alla Surikova, Savva Kulish, Jerzy Hoffman.

Vladimir Nosik is best known for leading roles in the films that form the Soviet film classics: You and I, The Visit of Courtesy, The Last Day, This Cheerful Planet, The Wishes Are Coming True, The Ocean, The Black Prince, Kysh and Two Book Bags, Earthly Love, When September Comes, Under the Roofs of Montmartre, The Sun, Again the Sun, And This Is All About It, Dust Under The Sun, The Amazing Adventures of Denis Korablev, Inspector Losev, Guest From The Future, The Most Charming And Attractive, American Grandfather, Rock and Roll for the Princesses, Upside Down, to name but a few.

He took part in such TV series as Cafe "Strawberry", Dark World, Lavrova’s Method, Champion, Donut Lusya, Transit for the Devil, Made in the USSR, Closed School, Veronica. Lost Happiness, and many others.
