Pavel Yankovsky

Born in Byaroza (Belarus), Pavel Yankovsky graduated from the St Petersburg Conservatoire (class of Nikolai Alexeev) in 2006. From 2004 to 2008, he was a soloist with the St Petersburg Consevatoire’s Opera and Ballet Theatre, where he debuted as Onegin (Eugene Onegin). At the same time, he was a trainee of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers.T ogether with the Mariinsky Opera Company he has toured to Spain, USA, Japan.

Yankovsky honed his singing skills at master-classes of Elena Obraztsova, Vladimir Atlantov, and Mati Palm (2006, 2007), organized by the International Summer Academy in Mikkeli. He has also attended master-classes given by Neil Shicoff, Paolo de Napoli, and Stefano Gibellato. 

From 2010 to 2019 he was a soloist with the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, where he appeared in more than twenty lead roles. 

Since 2018, he has regularly appeared at the Mariinsky Theatre as a guest soloist.

In 2019–2021 — a soloist with the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow.

Debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre as Eugene Onegin, in 2019.
