Valenty
In 1992, he completed his studies with distinction at the Chernigov L.N. Revutzsky Music College (trumpet class). From 1992-96, he studied at the Ukrainian State M.P. Dragomanov Pedagogic University (faculty of music and artistic culture, singing teacher Prof. Vladimir Turets) in Kiev. At the same time, he studied singing with Lyubov Kryzhanovskaya, teacher at the Kiev State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. In 1996, he enrolled at the Saint-Peterburg State N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in Professor Georgy Seleznev’s class. In 2001, he completed his studies — and in 2003, his post-graduate studies (tutor Georgy Seleznev) — at the Conservatoire. In 2001, he participated in Vladimir Atlantov’s master-classes.
From 1993-96, he was soloist in the boys’ choir at the Kiev special music boarding school for gifted children attached to the Kiev Conservatoire, and with the choir he appeared in France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Holland and Hungary. From 1997, as a second-year student, he began to participate in performances given by the Saint-Peterburg Conservatoire State Theatre of Opera and Ballet for which company, in the course of 5 years, he sang the following roles: Bertrand, King Rene (Iolanta), Gremin (Eugene Onegin), Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Sobakin (The Tsar’s Bride), The Old Gypsy (Aleko), Mephistopheles (Faust).
In 2005, he made his Bolshoi Theatre debut in part of Mussorgsky (Desyatnikov’s The Children of Rosenthal).
In 2009, he joined the opera company of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
