
Barea

Venetian bass-baritone, Tommaso Barea received his bachelor’s degree in Treviso/Italy with Pr. Sherman Lowe.
In 2014 as being the youngest winner of the “European Union Competition” in Spoleto/Italy he debuted with the role of Schaunard in La Bohème, while he was attending Spoleto’s Festival of Two World Academy. In 2016 he joined the ensemble of Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino where he perfected his studies under the tutelage of Gianni Tangucci.
He has performed at such theaters as Paris National Opera, La Fenice, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro delle Muse in Ancona and Opera Australia. He has participated in music festivals including the Wexford Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Donizetti Festival in Bergamo and Macerata Opera Festival. He has toured to Japan and China.
He has collaborated with acclaimed conductors like Zubin Mehta, Giampaolo Bisanti, Juraj Valčuha, Ricardo Estrada, Guillaume Tourniaire, Giuseppe La Malfa, Matteo Beltrami, Sebastiano Rolli, Nicola Paszkowski, Marco Angius, and with directors like Hugo De Ana, Giancarlo del Monaco, Damiano Michieletto, Arnaud Bernard, Jack Furness.
In 2022 he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre as Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro).
