Anna Shapovalova

Born in Kagalnik, Rostov region.

In 2014 graduated from the Rostov State Conservatoire named after S.V. Rachmaninov, solo singing (class of T.V. Shorluyan).

In 2014 was accepted into the opera troupe of the Rostov State Music Theatre. Debuted as Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), later performed the parts of Mimi (La Boheme), Giovanna d'Arco (Giovanna d'Arco by Puccini – the first production in Russia), Liza (The Queen of Spades), Emma (Khovanshchina), Yaroslavna (Prince Igor), Agafya Tikhonovna (The Marriage by M Mussorgsky – M. Ippolitov-Ivanov), Nedda (Pagliacci) and Liu (Turandot).

Performed at the Hungarian National Opera and Müpa Budapest.

Since 2021 has been an apprentice with the opera troupe of the Bolshoi Theatre.
