Denis Rodkin

Born in Moscow. In 2009, graduated from the Moscow State Academic Dance Theatre Gzhel and joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company. At the end of 2014-15 season he was promoted to the principal dancer.

Rehearsed with Nikolai Tsiskaridze and Yuri Vladimirov and is currently working under the supervision of Alexander Vetrov.

In 2013, graduated from the Teaching Faculty of the Moscow Academy of Choreography.

Performed in productions at the Mariinsky Theatre, the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Neapolitan theatre San Carlo, the Teatro Massimo (Palermo), the Royal Ballet of Flanders (Belgium), the Sofia Ballet, and the Korean troupe Universal Ballet.

Participated in several large festivals, such as the International Ballet Festival “Mariinsky” and the Festival of Classical Ballet named after Alla Shelest (Samara).

In 2014 performed at the closing ceremony of the XX Olympic Games in Sochi.

Participated in Svetlana Zakharova's project “Amore” (premiered in 2016), performing as Paolo in the ballet Francesca da Rimini to music by P.Tchaikovsky (choreography by Y. Possokhov). This programme of one-act ballets has been shown at the Bolshoi Theatre and in a number of cities in Italy, Greece, Monte Carlo (Monaco), Perelada (Spain), London, Helsinki, Sofia, Prague, Beijing, Tokyo, etc.
