Sergey Polyakov

Was born in Moscow and graduated in 2007 from the Russian Academy of Theatrical Art. From 2005 to 2007 had studied at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre.

In 2008 was accepted into the troupe of the Novaya Opera Theatre.

His successful career has taken him to international opera houses such as Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, Opera Royal de Wallonie in Liege, National Theater Mannheim, Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, Latvian National Opera, Estonian National Opera, Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv,  Mariinsky Theatre to name a few.

He has taken part in some Russian and international opera festivals including Festival Internacional de Santander (Spain), 'May Opera Nights' festival in Macedonia, Rostropovich International Music Festival in Moscow, Yuri Bashmet Festival in Minsk and has performed concerts in St. Petersburg, Mexico, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

In September 2020 he made his Bolshoi Theatre debut as Herman in The Queen of Spades.
