Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni has established himself as one of the most charismatic and versatile singers performing today. Since his debut at age 26 with the Vienna Philharmonic at the Salzburg Festival, led by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Pisaroni has continued to bring his compelling artistry to the world’s leading opera houses, concert halls, and festivals.

Mr. Pisaroni has brought his signature portrayals of Mozart’s Ponte operas to stages worldwide, including the Metropolitan Opera, Glyndebourne, Teatro alla Scala, San Francisco Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, among others. His diverse repertoire includes Golaud in Pelleas et Melisande at the Staatsoper Berlin, Méphistophélès in Gounod’s Faust at Teatro Real, Enrico VIII in Anna Bolena at Opernhaus Zürich; Maometto in Rossini’s Maometto II at Canadian Opera Company; the young Lorenzo da Ponte in the world premiere of Tarik O’Regan’s The Phoenix at Houston Grand Opera, Conte Rodolfo in Bellini’s La Sonnambula at Wiener Staatsoper; Giorgio in I Puritani at the Met; Méphistophélès in Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust with the Pittsburgh Orchestra; Pizarro in Fidelio at Teatro alla Scala, Mahomet II in Le Siège de Corinthe at Rossini Opera Festival.

Recent engagements include his debut as Don Rodrigue in the world premiere of Marc-André Dalbavie’s Le Soulier de satin with Opéra national de Paris, the Four Villains in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann at Wiener Staatsoper, and Leporello at Gran Teatre del Liceu.
