Biography

Royal Designer for Industry.
Part of the British Team of Designers winning the Golden Triga at the 2003 Prague Quadrennial for Un Ballo in Maschera, Bregenz Festival, and in 1991 for the 1989 RSC production of Hamlet.

As Director/Designer Antony has just completed his Ring Cycle for the Nationale Reisopera, Holland, where he also made Manon and King Priam.
For Grange Park Opera, Wonderful Town, Rusalka, Queen of Spades; Maria Stuarda (Opera North); Tsarevitch (South Bavarian Theatre); The Knot Garden, Aida, Samson and Dalilah (Scottish Opera).

Recent designs:
The Makropolous Case (Frankfurt); The Gambler (ROH); The Cunning Little Vixen (Netherlands Opera); Billy Budd (Frankfurt, Amsterdam); Jiulietta (Paris Opera, Geneve, English National Opera); Un Ballo in Maschera and La Boheme (Bregenz Festival, lake stage), all with Dir. Richard Jones.
Prima Donna by Rufus Wainwright (Manchester International Festival/Sadlers Wells/Toronto/New York City Opera); A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Merry Widow (Met, New York); The Trojans, Midsummer Marriage (Opera North), Nabucco (WNO and ROH); Cherubin (ROH); Beatrice and Benedict (Santa Fe and ENO), Benvenuto Cellini (Netherlands Opera); Ariadne auf Naxos (Munich) — all Dir. Dance with Ashley Page: The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Alice, Pennies from Heaven, Fearful Symmetries, and Cheating Lying Stealing (Scottish Ballet), the last two of which were originally created for the Royal Ballet.
