Valery Pecheykin

Graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics and Advanced Literary Courses at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute (Moscow).

Productions staged to his texts are on stage at the Theatre of Nations, the Moscow Theatre on Taganka and Praktika Theatre.

He is a co-author of the film scripts for The Conductor (2012) and Queen of Spades (2016) by Pavel Lungin, and the author of the script for Acid by Alexander Gorchilin (2018).

Participant of the international playwright’s seminar of the Royal Court Theatre in London.

Co-host of the podcast Swipe Right on the Bookmate service, where he discusses non-fiction literature.

In 2023, he worked at the Bolshoi as the libretto author for the first time, on the ballet production (world premiere) The Queen of Spades by P. Tchaikovsky—Y. Krasavin (choreography by Y. Possokhov).
