Mikhail Korshunov

Born in the Tver region. Graduated from the Tver Mussorgsky College of Music. In 2016 graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, in piano (teacher I.V. Osipova, studied concert master art in the class of G.N. Brykin and chamber ensemble – with I.M. Kandinskaya). In 2018 completed his internship and assistantship in concert master performance.

Trained as opera coach and concert master at the Paris Opera Academy and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Academy in Florence.

In 2016-23 — has been a pianist and concert master with the Young Artists Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre. Works with the artists of the programme, also under the leadership of such musicians as Ivari Ilja, Alessandro Amoretti, Lyubov Orfenova, Semyon Skigin, Giulio Zappa and Irene Kudela. Regularly participates in concerts of Russian, Italian, German and French chamber vocal music on the stage of the Beethoven Hall.

In the 2017-18 season, as concert master participated in the preparation of the performances of Alcina by G.F. Handel (conductor Andrea Marcon, assistant director Katie Mitchell) and The Idiot by M. Weinberg (conductor Michał Klauza, assistant director Yevgeny Aryeh).

Performed in such venues as Opéra Bastille - Amphitheatre (Paris), Brucknerhaus (Linz, Austria), the Purcell Room at Southbank Center and St Martin-in-the-Fields (London), Saint Petersburg Philharmonia and the Moscow Conservatory.
