Mikhail Guzhov

Born in Moscow, Mikhail Guzhov graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire (Anatoly Loshak’s class) in 1995.

In 1992–98 — a soloist of Moscow’s Stanislavsky and Nemirovich Danchenko Music Theatre.

In 1998–2005 — Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company’s artist.

In 1998 he became a guest soloist with the Music Theatre “Helikon Opera”. Since 2005 he has been a leading soloist of the Company.

Collaborated with such russian theatres as Ekaterinburg State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Saratov Opera and Ballet Theatre, Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatr in Kazan. Performed regulary with State Academic Symphonic Chapel of Russia under direction of Valery Polyansky.

He has also worked with Evgeny Svetlanov, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Dmity Kitaenko, Mikhail Pletnev, Valery Gerguev, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Mark Ermler and other conductors.
