Leo Kulaš

Born in Croatia in 1960, he studied Costume and Fashion Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. His firs costume design was for the opera Nabucco at the Split Sumer Festival 1983, directed by Paolo Magelli.

Since then he has designed over 200 costumes for Theatre, Opera, Film, TV, Musical and Ballet in Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Serbia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Latvia, Bulgaria...

He has worked with the choreographer Edward Clug since the 1998 Slovene National Theatre Maribor ballet titled Tango. Their other collaborations include Lacrimas, Radio & Juliet, Pret-a-Porter, Architecture of Silence, Watching Others, Hommage a Stravinsky, Le Noces, Hill Harper's Dream, Noir et Blanc, Strings, Peer Gynt...

He has been awarded for his work multiple times, in Slovenia and abroad.
