Maxim Kuzmin-Karavaev

Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in 2004. 

In 2006-08, studied at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre.
In 2007-15 — a soloist with Moscow’s Novaya Opera Theatre.

He has also appeared in productions of the Bayerische Staatsoper München, Staatsoper Hamburg, Teatro Real Madrid, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse, Opéra National de Lyon, Teatro Real Madrid, Oviedo Opera, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile.

On the concert platform, he performed at the Berliner Philharmoniker, Fisher Center for Performing Arts New York, The San Francisco Symphony, as well as Baden-Baden Festspiele, Santander International Festival, Budapest Summer Festival and others.

In 2015 he debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre as Bartolo (La nozze di Figaro, premiere performances). 

Awards

A prize-winner at the Glinka International Vocal Competition (3d prize, special prize for the best performance of works by Georgy Sviridov, and the title Best Bass; Moscow).

He has toured to Italy, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary, Belgium, France, Spain, Norway, Turkey, UAE, USA, Canada, Argentina and Chile.
