Nelli Kobakhidze

Born in Tbilisi. From 1992 to 1995 studied at the Tbilisi Ballet School (class of S. Tvarelishvili), then at the Moscow Academy of Choreography. After her graduation in 2001 (class of Irina Syrova), joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company.
Rehearsed under the supervision of Marina Kondratieva.  At the present time her coach is Anna Antropova.

Performed in productions at the Moscow Regional State Academic Theatre “Russian Ballet” under the leadership of Vyacheslav Gordeyev, the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, the State Theatre of Opera and Ballet of the Mari El Republic named after Eric Sapaev and the Krasnodar State Opera and Ballet Theatre as part of the festival “The Stars of Bolshoi Ballet”.

Participated in several large festivals, such as the 1st All-Russian Festival “Young Ballet of Russia” (Krasnodar) and the 9th International Festival of Classical Ballet named after R. Nureyev (Kazan).

Participated in the projects by Svetlana Zakharova “Amore” (premiered in 2016) and “Modanse” (2019). In the framework of the latter, performed in the ballets Like a Breath to music by G.F. Handel (choreography by M. Bigonzetti) and Gabriele Chanel by I. Demutsky (choreography by Y. Possokhov). The first programme of one-act ballets was shown at the Bolshoi Theatre, in St Petersburg, several cities in Italy, Greece, Monte Carlo (Monaco), Perelada (Spain), London, Helsinki, Sofia, Prague, Beijing, Tokyo and many more. The second programme was performed at the Bolshoi Theatre, in London, Beijing and St Petersburg.
