
Kasyanov

Born in Moscow. Graduated with honours from the Gnesin Music College (1996) and from the Russian Academy of the Performing Arts (RATI previously GITIS, 1999). From 1999-2001 he did a postgraduate course at the Academy’s faculty of vocal art.
From 2000-03, he was a soloist at the State Academic Moscow Operetta Theatre. From 2003-05 he was a postgraduate at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre, where he made his debut as Grigory Gryaznoy (The Tsar’s Bride).
Since 2005, Alexander Kasyanov has been a soloist at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre.
In 2011, he participated in Opera Tampa Young Artist Program under the leadership of Sherrill Milnes (Florida, USA).
In 2014 he made the Bolshoi Theatre debut as Grigory Gryaznoy in the new production of The Tsar's Bride.
