Evgeny Pisarev

After graduating of the Moscow Art Theatre College in 1993 (studied under Yuri Eryomin), Evgeny Pisarev joined the company of the Pushkin Drama Theatre, where he played many roles. Worked as an assistant director of Declan Donnellan’s productions (among them wereTwelfth Night and Three Sisters, included in the programme of the International Chekhov Festival).

Since 1996 he has also directed theatre productions at the Pushkin Drama Theatre, the Moscow Palace of Youththe Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre, the Bolshoi Theatre, and the Theatre of Nations.

In 2007-10 he worked as an assistant to Oleg Tabakov, artistic director of the Moscow Art Theatre.

Artistic director of the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre since June 2010.
Teaches Acting at Moscow Art Theatre College since 1999, head of Acting course since 2013.
