Escobar
Sergio Escobar studied at the Conservatory Arturo Soria, Madrid. His education concluded with master classes given by Francisco Ortiz, Montserrat Caballé und Teresa Berganza.
In 2012 he won several international competitions, and in the same year he debuted at the Teatro Luciano Pavarotti in Modena, successfully performing the title role in Don Carlo.
Later he became famous as performer of the repertoire by Verdi and belcanto. His international career brought him to perform at many major venues throughout Europe: Staatsoper Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, Opéra National de Paris, Teatro Real in Madrid, Opera de Bilbao, Dutch National Opera, Amstedam, Hungarian State Opera Budapest, as well as Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia.
He has performed under the baton of conductors such as Michele Mariotti, Riccardo Muti, Donato Renzetti, Jader Begniamini und Zubin Metha.
Sergio Escobar made his Bolshoi theatre debut as Don Carlo (Don Carlo), in October 2023.
