Chizhevsky
Born in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Sveshnikov Choir Academy, then from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in choir conducting (class of Stanislav Kalinin) in 2008 and in opera-symphonic conducting (class of Valery Polyansky) in 2010.
He is the Founder, Artistic Director and conductor of Questa Musica, together with which he has realised several large projects in Russia and abroad.
In 2008–11 was Artistic Director and conductor of the choir at the Gnesin State Musical College, as well as a teacher of conducting. Since 2011 has been a teacher at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
Since 2011 has been a conductor at the State Academic Symphonic Capella of Russia.
In 2012 debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre having conducted the premiere of the opera Franziskus by S. Nevsky in the framework of the project “Laboratory of Modern Opera”.
Since 2014 has been a guest director of the Bolshoi Theatre.
He conducts the performance The Story of Kai and Gerda by S. Banevich. In the 2014–15 season he was Music Director of the 1st International Festival of Baroque Music.
On the Pokrovsky Chamber Stage, he realised the production of the opera buffa La Périchole by J. Offenbach (2019) and one-act operas The Diary of Anne Frank. Weiße Rose (White Rose) by G. Frid and U. Zimmermann (2021).
