Alexei Frandetti

Born in Tashkent. Educated at the Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography, studied at the Studio of Drama Art at Mark Weil’s theatre Ilkhom.

Subsequently studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School and in 2006 graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (master — Igor Yasulovich). In 2014 completed a summer course in directing at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.

Has appeared in musicals at the Moscow Operetta Theatre, performing the roles of Mowgli in the eponymous production, the Prince (Cinderella), Porter (Ricochet).

In 2007-10 he was with the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre, where he performed lead roles in productions of Lend Me a Tenor! (Max), Chain Letter (the Count), Phèdre (Hippolyte).

In 2009 he performed the role of Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet at the Stanislavsky Drama Theatre (Moscow). In 2010/11 season he took on the role of Ramon in the musical Zorro at the Moscow Palace of Youth, also performed the role of Misha in Times Are Not Chosen at the Moscow’s Musical Theatre.

Since 2022 — has been chief director at Mark Zakharov’s Lenkom Theatre.
