Rusalka. Debut in the Leading Part
Bolshoi Opera soloist Timofei Dubovitsky makes her first appearance as Prince.

Zoya Tsererina is debuting as The Foreign Princess at The Bolshoi Theatre. Nadezhda Serdyuk will perform a part of Jezibaba for the first time. Their performances will take place on 24 and 26 September.

The Queen of Spades. Debut in the Leading Part
Irina Dolzhenko will perform the part of Countess in Rimas Tuminas’ production for the first time.

Sergey Polyakov makes his Bolshoi Theatre debut in the role of Herman. Performances will take place on 17 and 19 December.

Festival to commemorate 180th anniversary of Pyotr Iliych Tchaikovsky will be held from September to December on all stages of the Bolshoi Theatre. Program includes four operas, five ballets and five concert programs.
The Nutcracker (23, 24 September, conductors – Pavel Klinichev, Pavel Sorokin) and Swan Lake (26, 27 September, conductors – Tugan Sokhiev, Alexey Bogorad) will continue the program.

10, 11 September (19:00), 13 September (12:00 as a part of The Bolshoi for Young People program): premiere of ballets under general name Four Characters in Search of a Plot on New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre.

After a long break, the creative team of The Bolshoi theatre returns to work on native stages!
Despite many difficulties, in the 245th season we are going to present three ballet and seven opera premieres, festivals, concerts in the Philharmonic, tours to Europe and South America (Argentina), and host the international Yuri Grigorovich ballet Competition on our stages. Everything that The Bolshoi did not manage to implement due to lockdown in 244th season will be implemented in the next two years.

Leading soloist Alyona Kovaleva and Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre, Artemy Belyakov, have been awarded with Léonide Massine Prize. Ceremony is held annually in Positano (Italy) and named after the famous Russian choreographer, so well-known in the West. His bright career started at the Bolshoi at the dawn of the XX Century.
