Svetlana Moskalenko

Born in Georgievsk (Stavropol Krai). In 2012 she graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatoire (class of professor Tamara Novichenko).

In 2011 she joined the Mikhailovsky Opera. Her repertoire includes the parts of Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Oscar (Un Ballo in maschera), Musetta (La Bohème), Eudoxie (La Juive), Norina (Don Pasquale), Gretel (Hansel und Gretel) and Marfa (The Tsar’s Bride) among others. She also performs vocal parts in the ballets Prelude and Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness by Nacho Duato.

Svetlana has participated in the concert performances of Bizet’s Carmen (Frasquita) under the baton of Vasily Petrenko, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut (madrigal), Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina), and Donizetti’s Don Pasquale (Norina) under the baton of Mikhail Tatarnikov. She has toured in China and Japan.

Svetlana Moskalenko has sung at the Grand Theatre de Geneve, Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Dusseldorf, Germany), Berlin's Komische Oper, the National Opera of Lorraine (Nancy, France), the Opera Malmo (Sweden).

She has worked with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Peter Feranec, Fabio Mastrangelo, Mikhail Tatarnikov, Vasily Petrenko, Dmitri Jurowski, Robert Treviño, Anton Lubchenko, Henrik Westman, Gergely Madaras, Axel Kober.

In 2017 she debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre as Contessa di Folleville in Il viaggio a Reims (concert performance, conductor Tugan Sokhiev).

Among her recent engagements: title parts in Lakmé (Malmö Opera, Sweden) and Lucia di Lammermoor (Theater Basel), the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte (Deutsche Oper am Rhein).
