Boris Pinkhasovich studied conducting and singing in his hometown Saint-Petersburg.

Upon graduating cum laude in 2011, he was immediately engaged as a soloist at the prestigious Mikhailovsky Theatre in Saint-Petersburg, where he sang numerous principal roles, such as Prince Yeletsky and Count Tomsky in The Queen of Spades, Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, Robert in Iolanta, Belcore in L’elesir d’amore, Silvio and Tonio in Pagliacci, Lescaut in Manon Lescaut, Marcello in La Bohème, Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia.

Soon afterwards, his international career took off with engagements at the Bavarian State Opera in München as Onegin, Ford, Sharpless and in October 2021 as Kovalyov in the acclaimed production of Shostakovich’s The Nose, at the Vienna State Opera, where he debuted in 2018 as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, followed by Eugene Onegin, Sharpless, Ford, Rodrigo, Yeletsky and Lescaut, at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden (Shchelkalov and Marcello), at the Opéra de Paris, the Opéra in Monte Carlo, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Salzburg Festival.

One of the highlights of the season 2021/2022 was his appearances as Prince Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades) with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Kirill Petrenko at the Easter Festival in Baden-Baden and in the Berliner Philharmonie.
